Today we received news of one (1) case of COVID-19 with an employee at Browns’ Chevrolet. The health and safety of our staff and customers is our primary concern, and we have been working closely with Northern Health to ensure this. Northern Health has initiated their contact tracing protocols, and if you were in close contact with this individual, Northern Health will be contacting you.
Although Northern Health does not require that we close the dealership, we are choosing to close our doors for Friday, Saturday and Sunday to do a thorough cleaning and sanitization. During this time, all our employees will closely monitor their health be aware of any symptoms.

As the public health concerns of COVID-19 continue to affect our community, we are committed to help control the virus and implement necessary mitigation strategies.
As of today, there have been no cases of COVID-19 at any of our locations or among our staff.
We recognize this is a challenging time, and we remain deeply committed to the safety of our customers and our staff as we all do our part to keep our community and families safe. Health and Safety
Our staff has designated members to assist and ensure that facilities are meeting our standard of cleanliness and staff health safety practices. This will include daily reporting into our head office to ensure this is strongly enforced.
Increased sanitization of all high-traffic area touchpoints within all dealerships and offices multiple times a day.
Community safety communications plan in all dealerships, including posters outlining handwashing techniques, prevention, and best practices.
Loaner/Shuttle/Test Driven Vehicles
All loaner vehicles, shuttle cars and test drive units will be prepared and sanitized on an ongoing basis. This will include cleaning of all surfaces inside each car. This will be completed each time a guest or staff associate uses a vehicle.
Service Work Preparation
Guest vehicles for service in-store are outfitted with steering wheel covers and seat protectors prior to maintenance or repair work. All technicians are required to wear disposable gloves to work on vehicles.
Discontinuation of Shared Foods
All complimentary and shared guest café fruits and pastry snacks are temporarily removed.
Test Drives and Valet Service
Increased out-of-dealership test drives and vehicle maintenance valet pickup services are offered.
Company Policy for Employee Travel
No unnecessary business travel by staff associates. Staff are required to advise personal travel destinations so the company can make necessary arrangements.
As outlined by health officials, staff are expected to practice frequent hand washing and refrain from handshaking.
